Mobilizing for Good: The COMMIT!Forum’s the Place to Start
by Carol Baroudi on September 21, 2012
Organizations that want to change the world for the better often task their corporate social responsibility leaders and their sustainability leaders with doing the job “for the whole company.” For many professionals taking on these huge challenges, it can feel like it’s too much – too much to accomplish, too little established, lack of resources, lack of empowerment. The Corporate Responsibility Officers’ Association has tasked itself with remedying many of these problems with explicit goals of defining best practices for corporate responsibility professionals and promoting “the practice and profession of corporate responsibility as a driver of business and social value.”
CROA’s COMMIT!Forum “unconvention” in New York City, October 2nd and 3rd, “calls on individuals and organizations to make commitments that change the world.” “A tall order,” you might think. Well, come and get inspired! Take a look at the agenda; take a look at the speakers. If you’re thinking, “Wow, I’d love to but the price seems steep,” drop me a line. As a speaker in the “Sustainable Value Chains at Work” working group, I have some deeply-discounted tickets available and I’m happy to share. Drop me a note and I’ll give you a call. Hope to see you there!

Carol, sounds interesting. I have a niche consulting company in the sustainability space and might consider attending at least one day. I did not see the conference price or the discounted price. Let me know.
