Business Should Be Thankful for Technology

Every day, I remind myself of all the things that I am thankful for. Today, as always, I was thankful to wake to see another day. Next, I was thankful for the fact that my commute to work only required walking a few steps into the other room – and the dress code includes feetie pajamas.

This was a day quite the opposite of those days when I am up at 3:30 a.m. to drive to the airport for my 500-mile commute to my office or to a client location across the U.S. Don’t get me wrong. I am thankful for those days too – just for different reasons.

I am thankful for the technology that allows me to reach the members of my team instantly and in real-time at their workstations in another state. I am thankful to be a part of an organization that understands that the hardware infrastructure, which supports this same technology, requires responsible management. I am thankful for the team of people that I work with, that help support this honorable mission.

Business leaders today have a lot to be thankful for as well. The same technology that connects me to my business also enables enterprise organizations to effectively manage complex business models. Those same organizations have an opportunity to enlist services of providers, like Redemtech, whose business is the responsible lifecycle management of the technology infrastructure. This frees them up to concentrate on the work that is the core of their business – whether that is financial, healthcare, education, etc.

When companies choose responsible technology management practices that increase the useful life of the asset, extend utilization through redeployment and remarketing, and recycle the raw materials for reuse, we all have something to be thankful for – the health of our planet.
